September 26, 2023 Mr. Aswin and Mrs. Thapanee Techajareonvikul, Chief Executive Officer and President and Executive Vice Chairman of Big C Retail Corporation Public Company Limited (BRC) presided over the official opening ceremony of Big C Hong Kong. BRC acquired 24 AbouThai’s stores in Hong Kong and rebranded to Big C. The company plans to have a rapid expansion in the next 3 years to open 25 stores a year for a total of 99 stores by the end of 2026. Thai Consul-General Chaturont Chaiyakam along with Dr. Bernard Chan, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development and Dr. Jimmy Chiang, Assistant Director-General of Invest Hong Kong were Guests of Honor. The ceremony was held at Big C Supermarket, Mira Place 2 Branch.
